Memphis wins first series against Tulane since 2010

Banks pitched the last two innings after Massey rolled his ankle going to cover first base.

He allowed a bloop double that scored two runs making it 4-1. He looked really good in the 9th. Hope to see him for a full season next year.

Banks could help next week. However I don’t see a path to the title other than sheer luck. As noted earlier, every team in AAC wants to play Tulane in Clearwater. That is the sad summary of this season.

Senior recognition was nice last night with full contingent of parents. Kudos to our newly degreed players

Is Niemann hurt? Otherwise it is inexcusable that they could not give him an at bat on senior day. I know he got hurt a few years ago and catching was no longer an option, but was the injury that bad that he basically couldn’t play for 2 years? He was an all conference player at one point and we have guys not hitting their weight getting plenty of chances.

I noticed Niemann coaching first base today. Maybe the injury was enough to not risk playing again.
