Re: Tulane players' summer baseball destinations
Pitcher Jonah Wachter is in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (New England) with the Nashua Silver Knights. He pitched a solid 5 innings in a game last night. His older brother is on the same team.
Re: Tulane players' summer baseball destinations
Wachtel is going to have a bigger role next year. Glad to see he is getting innings.

There were a few announced back in April but I don’t remember who or where they were going. I would think Tulane should be able to put a list together

Re: Tulane players' summer baseball destinations
I'm glad the department compiled that and put it out. I still (very selfishly) want a player or two to be placed in the new Appalachian League in future summers.

Re: Tulane players' summer baseball destinations
One other tidbit, infielder Adam Ebling who was rated 9.5 (along with Banks and Linn in the freshmen class) but got injured and didn't play last season. Now, he is ripping it up in his summer gig in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, batting .375 in the early going. Also, has an on base pct. of .483 and he has pitched one scoreless inning.

Checked the Bellingham Bells roster.
Jackson Linn was included on the roster earlier today, now it has been taken off.

Adam Grintz has a 3.00 ERA with the Old Pueblo Kings team in the Sun Belt College Baseball League. 13 K's in 9 innings.

Is BA the only place you can find the baseball transfer portal?

Re: Tulane players' summer baseball destinations
Ebling played SS in high school; think he had a pretty bad leg injury in the fall before baseball season started. D1 is the only place I know to look at portal status. It's good in terms of showing guys who entered portal. But it is far from up to date showing destinations of players or who is going back to their original school.

Mitchem is a freshman pitcher from Orlando that didn't pitch last year
Re: Tulane players' summer baseball destinations
FW, he wasn’t listed on the roster.
Re: Tulane players' summer baseball destinations
I looked up his stats. In 3 starts he has thrown 20 innings, has an ERA of 2, a WHIP under 1 and has only walked 1 batter.randymc wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 7:58 am https://tulanegreenwave.com/sports/base ... tchem/8560

He walked 6 in 2 2/3 innings for Tulane as a freshman.
