Just going from memory, is Mack Brown our last AD who did not go on to another AD job at an FBS college? That’s 35 years or so.
Not being AD anywhere hasn’t hampered Brown either.

The last AD whose career “finished at Tulane” was Wall IIRC almost 40 years ago.
Rick Dickson
In fairness, his career was finished before Tulane.

Well he is AD at Tulsa. And as AD there, in contrast to here, his MBB coach had a winning record at his previous stop.

Might as well go into factoid fine print here for the doubters out there. If I miss anything, please elaborate:

Brown: HC at UNC, UT and now again UNC
Gladchuk: BC and now Navy
White: ASU, ND and Duke
Barbour: Cal and PSU
Dickson: Tulsa

All FBS jobs with majority P5.

Just a reminder to Woe is Us contingent that working for Tulane is a career enhancer not a killer or deadend

Hindman Wall was hired at Auburn (his Alma Mater) after Tulane.

If Dannen does leave, my guess is a superstar fundraiser will replace him in best tradition of refighting the last war you just lost.
