Yeah, but who's his daddy? ... I mean mommy? Maybe Tulane will get a donation!

How right you are!

Anderson Cooper is someone who you could easily say was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, that that spoon is pure sterling!

Actually Mom has fallen on relatively hard financial times and was forced to sell a home and condo not all that long ago. Cooper however has a $4 million contract which is way more than his audience share can justify. Now without Lou Dobbs as a lead in his ratings are falling right off a cliff. My guess is he won't be donating but rather needs the honorarium. We'll see if he is even on the air come May.

Tulane could do better.

Why don't we have "diversity" and have Greta or better yet, Megan Kelly, do a commencement speech? Oh, I get it, diversity only goes one way.

At least Megan is worth looking at for 10 minutes....still wouldn't remember a thing she says....

After Ellen, now Cooper....why are we inviting people who "play for the other team?" Trying to stay politically correct here.

I think Ellen DeGeneres was a gimmick, but unfortunately, that's what this thing has turned into.

As for Anderson Cooper, his choice as speaker can be defended on grounds that he is a respected broadcast journalist. I would guess that his politics are left of center but I can't think of anything he has ever broadcasted that would say that is so and you sure as heck can't. He can also be defended on the grounds that he was VERY prominent with his Katrina coverage. He is very well known, a credible professional in his field, and quite relevant to New Orleans and, therefore, Tulane.
