Yes and no. The nice publicity is good for the school. Especially when the news is filled by the recent rape case. This is good publicity that reinforces what Tulane sells.

Ripa used to do her show from New Orleans for a full week annually during the NATPE convention. Cowboy Mouth was their "house band".

Introduce her to Cowboy Mouth, and it's a done deal--Green Wave forever.

Neither do I. Yet, it’s amazing how the world isn’t just about you (nor me)

You cared enough to blind post a link to a vapid story

I saw it as the lead story on the local newspaper website. I copied and pasted it with a title that made it clear what it was because I thought it might interest somebody other than myself. Amazingly, not that big of a deal.

I can't believe I'm bothering to step into the continual "windy ridicules everything prof posts" stuff, but to be fair, there was nothing blind about the OP, he gave the topic in the subject line and put a link to the story which contains the video. Nothing wrong with that.

I showed the clip to my wife (who used to regularly watch the show but doesn't have time anymore and thus hadn't seen it) and her response, despite her typically being quasi-snarky about my Tulane affection, was "wow, that was a heck of a free endorsement to a very large audience". I mean, Ripa really does make Tulane and New Orleans sound like a place you want to be.

I would have responded "do not care" to anyone who posted that story. The further responses are due to his nonsense response to me.

this was great press. i get asked all the time where tulane is, lots of people watch that show.

had waveprof said it was stupid, windy would have have said it was great.

anyways, ask the people in admissions, i bet they loved it.

Me not caring is immaterial to whether it ia good press or not.

You also need to hang out with a better class of people i.e. people who know where Tulane is.

Based on the title, I assumed this belongs in the recruiting forum.
