No. 18 UCF vs. Cincinnati
This Week 6 Friday night matchup features one of the most explosive offenses in the nation, as UCF can score on any given play and averages 49 points per game. Cincinnati had one of the nation’s best defenses last year but hasn’t been as potent in 2019, though it has allowed just under 14 points per game outside of the Ohio State blowout loss.
The biggest reason to tune into this Friday night game is that UCF freshman quarterback Dillon Gabriel is one of the most exciting young players in the game today. With 1,338 yards and 14 touchdowns through the air to his credit already this year, this young man is electric, and the offense he leads is, too.

Most compelling matchups in college football Week 6

Over 3 minutes left in Temple at ECU and the stadium loses power with Temple up 27-10. They might just call the game.

Nope, power back on after 15 minute delay.

They had important things to settle in those 3 minutes.

Yeah... TD with 29 seconds left that does nothing except allow ECU to cover. That would suck if you were a gambler and took Temple to cover...

Two real bad spots by the refs have kept Cinci from icing it. 27-24 with under 2 mins to go.

Right call to go for it on 4th and an inch. Qb sneak works and Cinci is going to knee this one out. So Cinci is now the team to beat in the AAC east

Be interesting to see how UCF reacts to things not going their way.

I said we’d be playing Cincinnati if we make it there.

Btw, Cincinnati Football twitter account tweeted a pic of the final score with UCF tagged and said “sorry UCF. This tweet is real”.

Like most community college wannabes get high and continue living in mom's basement hoping to avoid a teenage pregnancy

Other than (arguably) the UCF loss, a good weekend

And here we go:

Quote:
CENTRAL FLORIDA: After demolishing Stanford in late September, athletics director Danny White whined about the Knights being ranked No. 16, telling Yahoo! Sports that “there has to be some other motivation” for being slotted in the back half of the top-25. That kind of conspiratorial nonsense plays well with the hard-core fan base but has proved to be overwrought. As turns out, UCF was overrated if anything. The Knights’ status as a thorn in the College Football Playoff committee’s side ended a couple weeks ago with a loss to Pitt, and their two-year domination of the AAC is now over as well after a 27-24 loss to Cincinnati. This isn’t a shot at the Knights, who put together back-to-back unbeaten regular seasons and became a massively important story/lightning rod for college football conversation. But maybe, just maybe, the people who were skeptical that UCF was really on par with the top power conference teams were right after all.

Fair to ridicule them for this year but not fair to use it to downplay their performance two years ago, or even before Milton's injury last year. It's not like they are the same team. With Milton healthy they probably beat LSU last year and show they did indeed belong for two straight years.
