Oklahoma Reservation ruling and Tulsa?

Post by PeteRasche »

About half of Oklahoma was ruled a Native American reservation by the SCOTUS today. This includes the entire city of Tulsa.

Reservations are not bound by many laws (part of the ruling overturned a rape conviction because it occurred on land not governed by state law).

I'm putting this here because I'm curious what, IF ANY, effect this might have on the University of Tulsa. I have no idea, but thought maybe some legal types here might opine.
