well a good chance to see how good UCF might be, how Navy looks without their now gone once in a lifetime QB and just what Temple has this year.

Houston at UTSA has been 'postponed', and may not happen at all.

Looks like it might get played nov 11. Houston is off then. Utsa isn't, but utsa might be able to move their game that day vs UAB to Sept 30 (Uab seems amenable)

As of right now, on websites that bother to post FCS lines, I can find James Madison a 1 point favorite over East Carolina. Let's see if our Pirates can pull the upset!

I am so sick of losing to Tulsa
Let's drill them this year.

Holy Cross 20, UConn 7. 3:35 to go in the 2nd. They've turned it over twice and are being outgained by nearly 100 yards.

45-17 OK ST. Not a surprise. UConn sucking it up down 20-7. A bit surprising.

Cincinnati gets by mighty Austin Peay 26-14. Led 14-7 at half after stopping AP at the goal line at the end of the half to keep the lead. I flipped by the radio station carrying the game while in the car and caught the last minute of the first half. The announcers were not exactly pleased and said they looked terrible in the first half.

Memphis ends up only winning 37-29. I saw the tiny, sad, forlorn ULM alumni club Watch party forming up at Nola tap room just before kickoff, when we were headed home. They didn't even have a hope for the game and joked about being 28 point underdogs.

I turned the game off Memphis was spanking them. Garbage time points made it close

UL (:)) last scored with 0:40 on the clock, so it would have taken a recovered on-side kick, a completed first down pass, a Hail Mary TD, and a two point conversion to tie the score.

So they had a chance :)

If we get our act together and have truly found a Div.1A quality QB who can run Frtz's Offense.........I'm feeling better about our chances this year.

The Navy game tonight will be one to keep an eye on. If we can beat Navy, our odds of a bowl go way up. Not certain by any means, but you'd have to like our chances of going 3-1 to start and that puts us halfway there.

Which one joined the AAC? Hope it's Indiana.

I think we beat Navy by 2 TDs.

ESPN's updated FPI after last nights games now have us at 6.0-6.1 wins. Prohibitive favorites for 5 Ws vs. Grambling, Army, Tulsa, FIU, and Cincy. With 40% chance each against Navy, ECU and SMU, any one of those games makes 6.

But thats why they play the games. We shall see.

(Also getting 33% odds to upset USF or Houston, 25% odds to upset Memphis. Only game totally written off is OU, at 2.5%)

Always dangerous to read too much into Week 1, let alone the fragments of games that seem to go to folks' head around here.
