Interesting that for all the buzz and "high rankings" that Fritz gets, his name isn't mentioned once in the story because it's only focusing on the "young up-and-comers" who will almost all likely move on to P5 pastures in the next year or two. Well, good. We'll take our good coach and keep him and win more consistently than those other schools.

As much as that article intended to be a compliment to the conference and was definitely spun as such, it's actually harmful to those schools' recruiting, as others - like, ahem, Fritz - can say "those guys won't last your four years, maybe not even one, but I'm not going anywhere".

It did mention a not so young one in Strong but not Fritz. Good.
We deserve so much better

As LG has said, 30 guys will get P5 head coaching offers before a 57 year old option coach with no P5 experience of any kind gets one. I can see a slight case made for KU running after WF but relative youth really counts in all these things as well as P5 "branding and experience."

Pete is right. WF is ours for better or worse. Meanwhile may our QBs stay healthy.
