Transfer portal.

Somewhere Joe Kemp is smiling

What a catch he would be for any school which runs a suitable offense for his talent set.

Ya know, I never thought of it, but dang, we could indeed face him again.

Man, can you imagine how he'd be treated by the graduating seniors who he'd basically be abandoning this year?

He's a warrior and I wish him well. He is/was great for our conference. It was satisfying beating him twice because of the level of respect I have for him as a great player.
Poor guy had Applewhite and Holgorsen as HCs.

Great point. If you recall what our guys did to Whitlow at Auburn over a recruiting announcement fiasco (did he fumble three times?), I doubt he goes to a school that has UH as a regular season opponent in 2020. He is elusive but UH would go after him like a human piñata.

Isn't this what Jalen McCleskey did? Glass houses and such...

I just posted this in the recruiting forum. Mods can move mine from the correct forum to this thread or vice versa.

Full admission, I didn't click the link and it doesn't mention transferring. I thought he was considering sitting this year because of the bad start and trying again next year, still at Houston. That's why I was thinking about how the seniors would treat him, knowing he'd quit them to try again next year. But it's different if he's leaving, he can get out of dodge (or at least avoid the athletic complex) immediately.

Yes. But McCleskey did not go to a school playing OSU and he went to a school where his Dad coaches.

BTW, I don't criticize King. It's a free world and folks should be able to go to school and play where they want. I just don't see it being an AAC school even though I wish he would consider Tulane.

If you are saying Fertitta could slip King money to stay, that's not what lg meant. Fertitta was the guy who forced them to fire a coach who "only" won 8 games and who personally got his buddy Holgerson hired even though it's looking like a bad move already.

Not concerned what lg meant, pretty obvious. Just pointing how TF deals with most issues in Houston and Vegas - no doubt.

stinks for the conference
but judging from his postgame comments alone, Holgorsen doesn't instill respect

According to Joe D, he's staying. Is Dana H pulling the tank job of all time? Call Aresco to address this competitive imbalance and shenanigans!

on edit: Corbin too. I guess he wants another chance at the Wave!!

My son lives in Houston and his wife works at UH. Word is it’s not done until it’s done and the AD is livid. Coach could have asked some seniors to red shirt. Like let’s throw in the towel this year.

Updated with quotes. Both King and Corbin apparently staying to play next year. So this brings into play what I said in the thread on the AAC board: how are these guys gonna get respect in the program when they just threw this year's seniors (for whom this is their last chance) to the wind? I've never heard of the 4-game-then-redshirt being used for a star player to say "this year started poorly, screw you guys, I'm gonna try again next year".

Of course, as FW says, maybe they're just trying to look like good guys while testing the waters to see how big they can go.
