That cannot possibly be true. He doesn't even play on a P5 team. Could never be the top player.

These awards haven't really had much P5 bias if any.

Hmmm, I wonder what play they'll show when giving him the award....

(of course this year there probably isn't an actual in-person ceremony or whatever)

In the clip I saw accompanying the announcement they showed several plays he made all the while I’m thinking “please don’t show it, please don’t show it” and bam, there it is. He had enough film on himself that he likely gets it without the play against us, but that was a huge play in the grand scheme of their season.
