The AP poll is admittedly a top-down way of looking at conference achievement, but I still thought it might be useful to see a year by year for the AAC for every year since Tulane joined. All are based on end-of-year

P6? AP Polls and AAC Progression
“We will expect success in all endeavors and be prepared to assess and hold ourselves accountable when we aren't successful. Tulane is a top 40 academic institution and it should expect nothing less from its athletic department.” --Troy Dannen 11.5.16
Re: P6? AP Polls and AAC Progression
Interesting stuff. 2020 was hampered by COVID opt-outs so it’s hard to say that the conference was overall worse than in 2019 plus I think it was more competitive (in the sec parity means they are all good, in the AAC/“p5” it means everyone was bad).
What that does tell us (to an extent) is that since 2016, the top AAC teams are better than the top teams from other G5 conferences.
