If they claimed they were injected with meldonium by a umbrella tipped with a dart, I’m with you!
He claims another Russian he beat out spiked his drink. It is actually plausible because a) Russians are devious untrustworthy cheaters and b) that drug wouldn't help you in curling. The biggest issue in the past is curlers have been too out of shape

And meldonium helps you exercise, no?

you mean she's gotten ugly since then??!?!

looking at a cute Russian curler is more interesting than most of what you see during a Winter Olympic, especially one as boring (so far) as this one.

I assume by "boring", you mean "one in which the USA has been extremely disappointing"?

I'll be honest, I enjoy it way more when we do well. I don't care to watch some random Norwegian and Swiss dudes compete in cross country skiing. Unless there's a crash.

Pete, that's a big part of it but also, for whatever reason, this Winter Olympic seems more bland and uninteresting. Maybe no oversized personalities? Too much friggin' figure skating/ice skating? Going overboard on human interest stories? Too much of an X Games flavor? I don't know. I've enjoyed Winter Olympics in the past, this one not so much.

someone opined that they would love to know, in any given telecast hour, how much of it actual competition. My guess is, not much.

All of the above. The online coverage of events not shown prime time is the only thing they have gotten right.

Okay, and putting Roenick and Jonesy in the studio during the hockey pre-game and intermission segments.

I don't really follow hockey...is it always that difficult to score in a shootout? 1/10??

This old body could only make it through the first period last night for USA-Canada women’s hockey gold medal game. Old+ Eastern time zone = zzzzzzzz

Apparently it was a helluva game.

My wife and I are still days behind on the dvr, but I watched the full penalty shot sequence on NBC.com this morning. Fantastic finish indeed.

watching a bit of the replay, I thought Women's Hockey, skill wise, was much closer to most Men's sports. The skating, athleticism, speed of the game "felt" very much like a Men's game.

Everyone loves to hate on curling just because it got too cool for school popular 4 years ago. But it’s actually a game thing to watch. I’d watch it over hockey any day of the week. Notice I did say game not sport though. I won’t defend its athleticism
“We will expect success in all endeavors and be prepared to assess and hold ourselves accountable when we aren't successful. Tulane is a top 40 academic institution and it should expect nothing less from its athletic department.” --Troy Dannen 11.5.16
