Strange statistical history in these two leagues. With regards to winning records, in baseball the pitcher gets the win and in hockey the goalie gets the win. And they also get the losses. But the really strange thing is that the player in each sport that has the most wins also has the most losses. Those individuals are Cy Young and Martin Brodeur. And Young has an award named after him. :roll: This is clearly a case of taking the good with the bad.

Longevity is definitely the story here. But in order to get longevity, you have to keep winning more than losing along the way. :thumbsup:

Brodeur is why I like both Hockey and the Devils. One of these things I'm grateful for, these days....
