This is pretty standard procedure for most of their games, but... Miami's in trouble.

They're down 3, 4 minutes into the second half. Far from trouble. But they have not looked good thus far.

Miami overachieved to get to this point. Still a good sign for the future.

So now if Miami knocks off Clemson in the ACC title game, the ACC could get excluded from the CFP entirely.

Don't think so Pete.

Miami will fall out of contention for the CFP after today. Then Clemson would be absorbing their second loss to a team out of contention and would not be their own conference champ. But more importantly, you know the media pressure on the committee is to include two from either the Big 10 or SEC and this would open that door.

Did I hear right? Kansas has lost 46 straight road games?

I don't know if the loss today was 46 or 47 or what but yeah, last road win was at UTEP in 2009.

Down goes Bama 26 - 14. Auburn was the better team - by far.

So, SEC champ is in and the loser probably isn't. Oklahoma is in. If Clemson wins the ACC, they're in. If Wisconsin wins the Big 10, they're in. That's the easy result for the committee.

But if Ohio State beats Wisconsin, Alabama will have a strong argument they should go ahead of OSU and shut out the Big 10. Heck, Alabama can (and will) argue they deserve to go ahead of any one-loss team, despite said team being a conference champion and Alabama not playing in their title game. If Miami beats Clemson, lots of schools will argue they should go instead of Miami (from Alabama to an SEC loser Georgia to Wisconsin if they lose), and shut out the ACC.

Lots on the line next week and the committee has to be praying for the easy way out.

Wisconsin will be underdogs to OSU (I think).
