I seem to remember John Daly scoring an 18 on one hole. What I think I recall was that when someone asked how he got an 18, he replied that he had missed the putt for 17.

Having visited and heard local talk about Augusta National (did my fellowship at MCG, and my chairman forced me and one of the other fellows to sneak out when our Monday Clinic ended before noon), the crew there have placed a lot of false fronts on greens. If you were to hit your approach on the front 1/4 of the 9th green, it rolls down about 25 yards away.

Reminds me of the movie "Tin Cup." Means he will probably be hanging out all day Saturday and Sunday to put the green jacket on this year's winner.
