Horrible game by the Preds last night. Up 3-0 after the first and then give up 7 goals in the next two periods. The defense is pi$$ poor right now and has been all playoffs. I'm not feeling very good about their odds to advance. Jets are looking good and don't quit.

It was a great hockey game to watch, if one cared

And again last night. Did I metion that Tom Wilson is a piece of sh_t...I know how to get by the censors, but I'll refrain this time. A bunch fans behind me looked up his mother's name (I'll leave that name out here) and said some ugly stuff. Fans will be fans. And that is not always good.

no team has been fked as badly in these playoffs than Boston... last night's tackle on McAvoy that allowed the tying goal was just another in a series of blown calls by officials that now look like they've been ordered to get Tampa to the conference finals. Everyone is focusing on that blown call, but a horrific penalty call that should have cost Boston the game earlier in the period resulted in a shorty that should have given Boston the W. Since game 1, EVERY blown call has gone Tampa's way. That's generally statistically impossible unless there are motives in place.

It seems to me that the officiating in this year's playoffs have been, shall we say, consistent. As in consistently bad. Don't these officials get to do their thing in the playoffs based on merit? And that incident involving Marchand has got to be the ugliest thing in any rhelm I have ever seen in an sports. Totally wanted to blow my groceries with that one.

Marchand needs to be fined for licking and given a 5 minute major next time that crap happens. Either that or look the other way while somebody knocks his teeth out

NHL rule 75 is the unsportsmanlike conduct rule. It covers biting, hair pulling, and has an all important etc. at the end as a catch all. Licking seems to fall squarely in this bucket to me.

Also he already got an official warning from the NHL head office. Now they've issued a second one.

Yeah, you'd think 3 strikes and you're out. I'm sure they can make it fall under the etc. Bruins have been screwed this series anyway. Problem is that now if he does something the suspension would just happen next year (probably)

cruelly ironic that Boston gets knocked out in the only game they didn't get screwed by the refs... game winning PPG was the result of a bona fide trip on Bergeron. Rask mailed in his 2nd period performance and Boston is golfing as a result.

I see major changes in Boston in the offseason which would be surprising for a team that was supposed to be in "rebuilding" mode yet came in 2nd in the conference in total points. But Toronto and Tampa exposed their lack of speed. They simply out-experienced Toronto but they couldn't do it with Tampa. The old, slow guys are done... guys like Backes and Rick Nash are done in Boston.

Big win for the Capitals. Since their last finals appearance in 1998, the Caps had been in the playoffs 12 times and they'd been eliminated by Pittsburgh in five of those seasons. Nice for them to get the monkey off their back.

Yea, the Caps finnally "killed the dragon". But me personally I can't pull for a team that employs Tom Wilson. Or Brad Marchand, for that matter.

I know you guys are figuring I'd now be pulling for Vegas, since Fleury plays for them. Nothing against MAF, but of the teams left I'd like to see the Jets hoist the big trophy. Why you ask. I am a guy that hates to see cities lose their franchises. Winnipeg lost theirs to Arizona (was that really a good idea NHL). Anyway they finally got it back (that was a really good idea NHL). And they support it to the nines. The city and fans deserve to be the last team standing (IMO). But they still have one more job to do before that happens.

They still have two jobs '54. The Jets are a great team and very deserving of a Stanley Cup, but they haven't closed out the Preds yet and you can bet finishing them off in Nashville in a game 7 will be a tall task. And then of course should that happen they have the job I think you alluded to in trying to beat the Caps.

One more thing. If the Preds and Bolts make the finals, a record might be set as to the fewest visiting fans to see a game at the home team's venue. Both teams do their best to keep visiting fans out of their arena. :(
