Fullerton, Oregon State, and Texas have punched tickets to the supers.

It was a BYOOTIFUL skulldragging of the tigers over their 2 games against em. Never trailed, never close. Outplayed in every phase of the game.

Oregon State clearly dominated that Regional, they really seem to have it going right now.

Florida State has got to be the biggest chokes in college baseball history, unbelievable

JP France bouncing back with a great performance so far vs. Oklahoma in the deciding game of the Miss. State regional. Bulldogs lead 3-1 after 5 innings. France has gone a season high 5 innings and just got the final out of the 5th with a brutal 12-6 curve to backwards K freeze the Okie batter.

France is dealing through 6. Happy for him and I hope he can get MSU to a super.

Meanwhile, in Oxford, Tennessee Tech is putting a Coastal Carolina on Ole Miss. 10-0 through 6 (TTU has to win 2 today)

So are the rebs accusing a mid major who can mash of using juiced bats, as is tradition? Oh, you betcha!

France with a 2-hitter thru 7 as Miss State still leads 3-1. He is in the low 80s with pitch count and consistently dealing a 91 mph fastball and a devastating 78 mph change.

France finishes with 7.0 IP 2 H 1 ER 2 BB 5 K 85 pitches. 3 outs away from getting to a super, after being 1 out from 0-2. Quite a ride for the bulldogs

Good thing he got to play on that stage. He left Tulane because he was learning nothing.

Duke beat UGA TWICE today to get to the Lubbock supers. Wow. Amazing turnaround job by their coach. The rising college baseball tide in North Carolina typically doesn't float Duke's boat.

So he had a losing record until this game, got blasted in the 1st game he pitched in Regional, 5 innings was longest he went this year....what exactly did he learn this year then? Nothing against him but you act like TULANE was holding him back this year or something for frick sakes......

Using wins and losses as a metric to measure how good a pitcher is in the year 2018. That's cute. His ERA was better than every Tulane pitcher except for Gillies this year, more strikeouts per 9 innings than all of them.
He pitched 7 innings today.

I'm sure he learned more from Gary Henderson than he would have Tighe Dickinson. You know, the pitching coach that Jewett hired and was so bad that he already fired him.

In an odd note, my younger twin siblings both saw their alma maters make a regional. My brother went to Duke and sister to Tennessee Tech. Strange times when those two advance and Tulane isn't even in the tourney :(

Tenn Tech sends Ole Miss home again and Duke advances too.

either FAU or FIU had the Gators on the ropes in inning 1 last night but let them wiggle off and lost the game

JP is a better pitcher today than what he was when he left Tulane. You are correct that they were not holding him back. He would have definitely pitched more innings. But would he be a better pitcher? I can tell you based on knowing and speaking to a lot of pitchers that they would all tell you they learned not one thing from a pitching standpoint. In fact, anything learned such as mechanics and new pitches were attributed amongst the pitchers themselves. However it played out, JP made the right move.

FW, worst big game coach maybe ever. It is time for them to say thank you for what you have done, but it is time to move in another direction.
