Still pissed off that the US didn't qualify. I'm not as in to it as years past as a result.

Does it make me a traitor to say we give the Russians a pass on their meddling in exchange for putting us in the World Cup?

Seems to be the larger opinion, despite everyone 4 years ago screaming, "no really, we love soccer, we swear it's not just because the USA is doing well!"

that's like saying the World Cup is just another soccer tournament... not sure why FW doesn't think World Cup specific chat deserves a home of its own.. but I think it does

BTW, did the own goal Moroccan dude get beheaded yet?

Because we don't want the board cluttered with soccer talk! Keep it in one place!

Dude, chill out. We have probably 10 NFL threads throughout the season and the Super Bowl usually gets its own. It's the summer, there's little else going on, what's the problem with two soccer threads?

The WC is once every four years. I think we had two maybe three threads for the Wake Forest QB suspension.

Anyway. The Japan-Columbia game this morning is worth the price of admission so far. It's pretty sweet to have top level sporting events going on in the background during work.
