Unfortunately my officiating crew drew a winless team at 0-9 visiting a 2-7 team with a history of bad blood between the two. We will call it tight in the beginning to avert problems between the two like last year, which included a fight and three ejections.
Have fun with that.
Yup, can’t wait. It’s raining too. :|

Ouch. Ugly. We tossed 3 in a game last year for fighting but that’s it. This past week we got on the same two teams early and often to keep a lid on things and it worked. Lots of talking to the kids preemptively helps. I’ve heard far worse situations at peewee games with coaches and parents.

What do you think of the mass ejections? I think it was garbage

Sounds lazy. They couldn't/didn't want to figure out the actual bad actors

Without knowing the particulars I’d absolutely agree. We have actually discussed a situation like this in our preseason discussion and what my association would do would be to stop the game that day. Then it would be a joint conference with both school ADs the following day to determine whether to resume the game or let it stand as is. I could see a couple of ejections—in my ejection game last year we tossed 3 because one player came off the bench—but any more than that means a total loss of control of the game.

They should have just ended the game. Less knock on repercussions.

In true Mississippi fashion, the Egg Bowl listens to all of TUPF's refereeing horror stories, burps, and says, "Hold my beer."
