I don’t know if this article gets written without Tim Layden’s Blood, Sweat, and Chalk, published several years ago. Still a fun offseason read with the bone getting a surprising endorsement from Mike Leach.
The gap between the top of the big leagues and their bottom is now bigger than the gap between their bottom and us - P.R. told me to do this

I found the Wishbone Era deadly dull. Hard to sit through some of those games. And then Programs like Tulane revitalized college offenses with thing like Infante's Pro Style Offense, where the QB became a passer again..........
