NFL Overtime Rules.....

Post by WaveProf »

Are completely stupid.

~ Play by NCAA overtime rules.

or

~ Play a full quarter and see who is on top

or

~ just call it a tie at end of regulation

Anything but this foolishness

What’s wrong with them? The only tweak I’d make is that each team gets a possession.

Tie games are OK with me. The way it used to be. College or Pro. (Just my opinion )

Seriously. 15 plays 80 yards, 8 mins, and Atlanta has no excuse for letting a 40 year old QB fake them out to get to OT;

Rule is fine. If you can't keep a team out of the end zone you don't deserve to win. If you want both teams to have a shot then ban field goals and extra points and make everyone go for two all the time.

This should be a rule generally.

Like everything the NFL does, the OT rule is unnecessarily complicated and dumb.
