I’d look at Blake Anderson from Ark St. They are said to be looking at Mike Houston of James Madison (NC native).
ESPN radio here reported yesterday or the day before that James Madison coach was heading to UNC-C

Footballscoop.com is saying Bill Snyder might step down at KSU. The two names bandied by the site as possible replacements were Seth Littrell and Chris Klieman.

UNCC has pulled its offer to Houston, which sounds like face-saving to me.

This is a great hire, on paper. An "under the radar" hire.

Who is Charlotte in trying to save face? I mean, they really have no FBS tradition to speak of. I think they found out something in Houston's background that made them double-clutch. It would have to be bad, because he looks to be a pretty good coach. Probably something to do with the #MeToo movement or the like, a la Bobby Petrino (aka Scumbag).

Supposedly they did it because he told them he's looking at other openings, like ECU.

Oh. Then why announce it in the first place? Sounds like Charlotte's mistake to me--that they try to force Houston's hand by announcing it so that he would quit looking. Now, they don't have Houston, look stupid, Houston may not have a job after this is all said-and-done, and they might get a coach less than Houston in the end. Duh.

I was never on the Hudspeth bandwagon, but this ULL coach is the real deal. No one will pick him up on the come like this, but they will in a year or 2.

It will be interesting to see if his name is mentioned with other openings. Hudspeth’s never was for whatever reason.

From what I read the Charlotte offer is what spurred ECU to fire Montgomery, fear of missing out

I have a friend who told me Willie really wanted the KU job and was extremely upset that Les beat him out for it so he's consoling himself with accepting KSU job. This is top secret so don't let anyone else know about this until it is announced.

I was in Chicago for my niece's wedding back in 2013, on the day we upset ECU in triple OT, and got into an elevator in the hotel with some guys wearing coach-type sweatsuits. I hadn't even looked at their faces and the one guy saw my Tulane shirt and said, "Tulane... My brother coached there". I didn't even recognize him and I'd lived in Alabama when he was coaching at Auburn... he really aged. I actually asked him who and he said "Tommy Bowden" and I was like, "oh, uh, yeah... Hey! You're Terry Bowden!" Akron was staying at our hotel, in town to play NIU.
