UCF poses more of a threat to Florida than FSU or Miami

Some observations from CFB Championship game:
1) True freshman QB. Wow.
2) Clemson easily the better team, in all phases.
3) Saban looked lost. And when that happened 'Bama closed it down.
4) Have you ever seen a 97 yard drive (to end the game) that didn't end up in a TD? Me neither.
5) And on a local level, this means that Clemson is 57 points better than LSU.

That was a great performance by Clemson. These were two pretty evenly matched teams on paper (and I still believe talent wise they are), but Clemson's coaching and ability to hang in there early on were huge. At the beginning of the game Clemson couldn't get much going and Alabama was moving the ball well, outside of the pick-six. But Clemson found their footing and never really looked back. Dabo has built something that may let him rival Saban someday.

In case anybody is thinking this is the beginning of the end for Alabama, they have the nation's top recruiting class coming in and on paper it's Saban's best class ever. So yeah, expect to see even more of these two squads going forward.

My favorite stat out of last night's game: this was the first time a Saban-coached team lost by more than 14 since JP Losman led the Buffalo Bills to a 21-0 win over the Miami Dolphins in December of 2006

Fascinating. How is a one-win SWAC team better than LSU? I think the NC A&T over ECU and then ECU over UNC are the critical games in a lot of these strings.
