I was behind a Purdue alum the other day.. I had no idea their slogan was "Boiler Up"

for someone who's a 2 hour drive from their campus... I have very little exposure to Purdue paraphernalia in Charlotte.

Purdue Boilers Up. Vandy Anchors Down. Bama and Tulane Roll. Every college football fan should be required to memorize all 4, because they are unique. Most teams simply Go.

More than four. Anchors Aweigh (Navy), Rock chock Jayhawk (KU), Boomer Sooner (OU), Hook 'em horns (Texas), Gig 'em (TAMU) just to name a few more off the top of my head.

well, waves roll and the tide moves in via waves.. so I guess that's where it comes from?

BTW, NONE of those cheers sound like something a group of cannibals would be chanting like it is at Purdue.... bloodthirsty savages
