Loved the female reporter trying to interview their 7’6” center. She could not be taller than 5’6”

They showed a still shot with her and Fall (Tracy Wolfson) and listed her at 5'2".

(and though I'm only 6'10", I have to say, "been there, taken that picture".)

How can a school like Wofford win 30 games and have the talent to play with a program like Kentucky but we are TERRIBLE?

There really is no excuse for being as well bad as we’ve been

Well we’re about to see just how good UCF’s big man is when he lines up against Zion

If the announcers were any further up Zion's rear we'd have to send a search party. He just clubbed the UCF guy across the arms on a shot and a foul was called, and they showed it in frigging slow motion where it was plain as day, and the announcers are moaning and saying "c'mon! Play on!". Ridiculous.

Referees gave that game to Duke. That was just wrong

The AAC curse continues. The refs didn't help, but UCF absolutely gave that game away. How do you not box out on that last free throw????? They just let the the Duke guys get the rebound for the winning lay in. Those kids will be sick at themselves and for good reason.

The UCF guy on the right block got pushed from behind and it was not called. I was watching for it in real time and saw it (from the usual sideline camera) but of course when they show replays, they don't show that angle. Of all the camera angles they showed, you could only see a bit of it in the overhead (top of the backboard) angle. Granted, it's the age-old thing of the refs burying their whistles at the end of tourney games because they don't want to be responsible for outcomes, so you can "sort of" say the UCF guy should have been ready for it.

But UCF's final shot and the follow attempt were BRUTALLY close; the initial shot was about a half-inch too long, and the tip in was about a half-inch too short. Literally, that close to the upset of the tourney.

This close:

Houston advances to the Sweet 16, ending the drought for the AAC. It would be great to see them upset Kentucky. It never hurts conference prestige to beat a traditional power in March.

Purdue - Virginia is a phenomenal game. Edwards from Purdue lighting it up and carrying the team with big shot after big shot, and UVA with a miracle off an intentionally missed free throw to send it to OT.

Best game I've seen in the tournament

I was absolutely convinced that we'd see Kentucky and Duke win today because the Final Four always seems to have a couple of blue bloods and it feels like they win it all the majority of the time. I'm tickled to see this Final Four.

Consider this: three of the teams (UVA, TTU, Auburn) have never won a title in basketball. TTU and Auburn have never made a Final Four. With UVA and Auburn playing, we are guaranteed to get one team in the final playing for a chance to win their school's first national championship. A unique champion hasn't been crowned since 2003 (Syracuse). Even stranger - there are a combined 2 national titles in the Final Four, both coming from Michigan St. It's been a very long time since that few titles were represented in the Final Four. Oh and the Spartans, while a perennial Final Four contender, haven't won a title since 2000 and their other title win was 1979 (Magic Johnson vs Larry Bird). Should Michigan St. win it all, it will also be the first championship for the Big Ten since 2000.

Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with the outcome. Seeing the same six teams win all the time gets old. It's cool (and rare) to get some fresh names in the mix.

Totally agree, outlaw. It will be interesting to see what happens with the ratings.

I'm sad Duke lost, but happy Duke lost. The miracle Zion!
Go UVA (my chance to win the bracket pool!)

My bracket has Michigan State against UVA in the final with Izzo winning it all. So far so good.

Duke was lucky to be even playing in that game thanks to the non-calls on ZW.

Duke or no Duke, three out of four Elite 8 games were close, dramatic, exciting finishes. Two OT games. The Sweet 16 had some good ones as well.

Really made up for the first weekend, which (as well as I can remember) didn't have a single buzzer-beater. Were the any? Seemed like they were all blowouts, or games where the underdog got within like 5 in the final three minutes but never was able to get within a one-possession game at the very end. In the few times it was a "last possession" game (i.e., Duke/UCF) it seemed like they were all misses.

I'll just leave this here (and wait for certain people to scream about how it's incorrect)
