The Masters 2019

Post by Rotorooter »

Best sporting event of the year. Course is in immaculate shape. Weather looks good. Any prediction of the winner?

I'll take the field vs. McIlroy, Woods, Speith, Johnson or Mickelson. Me thinks Fowler.

course is in immaculate shape? Is it ever NOT immaculate? My one time walking the fairways at Augusta, I didn't see a blade of grass or shrub out of place. That place is pristine and if you've never been... go... even if you don't like golf.

Television doesn't do that place justice, even in hi def. You have to witness its majesty in person.

Agreed on all counts, Johnny Mac. But I've been several times and I went this past Saturday, and it is in the best shape I've ever seen it. Took a buddy from our days at Tulane who'd never been and he was in awe. Truly magnificent this year.

I also agree; did a year at the "Miracle college of Georgia," went to practice rounds after morning clinic. You won't find weeds anywhere, no leaves on the ground, it is perfect.

If God were to have to start over, Eden can be found on Washington Ave at the corner of Berckman in Augusta.

I'll go out on a limb and take Molinari, who has been hot the past year.

Not that I would be biased to a Gumbah named Francesco or anything....

Let's see if Speith can put four subpar rounds together for the first time this year.

Fourth round being moved up big time. Playing in groups of three, having some go off the 10th, first group teeing off at 7:30, last group will be on the course by 10 am.

The usual finish just before dusk replaced by hopeful finish before the thunderstorms move into the area. Tiger was saying that he will be up by 4:30 am to start his pre-round routine.
