To be fair, this list is mostly tongue in cheek. They put a P5 team in at #5 every week for a bad loss, even when that team is pretty decent. Any time a team wins they generally move them off the list for at least a week or two. Tulane used to be on here frequently and any time we'd beat somebody we'd usually fall off the list even if we were still bad. Thankfully we don't make appearances these days.

I thought that was ESPN's Bottom 10, not this MSN thing.

I mean, obviously this is somewhat tongue-in-cheek as well... Maybe even written by the same person (I don't follow who does stuff like this and there's been a lot of shuffling of employers among sportswriters in the past 5 to 10 years). But my first thought was that this used to be only the bottom 10, then I noticed it wasn't ESPN.

This one claims he ranks every team using a formula and so the bottom 10 25 is just how it all shakes out.

He also links to his formula's output for all teams, 1-131.

Here’s an interesting fact. It seems FIU has turned to Kaylan Wiggins as its QB. He was the lead dog if not the starting QB in their win over an FCS team. He is their leading rusher after 3 games. Wiggins, you may remember, was committed to us for a while but we moved on when it became obvious we needed an older guy to come in and play, keeping Dane Ledford as our HS QB signee. At the time Wiggins and his family were very put out with Tulane.
The gap between the top of the big leagues and their bottom is now bigger than the gap between their bottom and us - P.R. told me to do this

Gosh, I do remember that! Will be interesting to see how Wiggins does the remainder of this year.

FIU loses again, this time to La Tech. The 2 FBS teams we've beaten are both currently 1-3.

Man, aTm must have a helluva defense to only hold that high powered offense to only 28 points...no way the Auburn offense had an off-day

Houston: As long as Tilman Fertitta is the sugar daddy for Houston’s athletic program, he’ll never live down a quote from December 2016 when he declared that his new coaching hire Major Applewhite needed to win at least nine, 10, 11 games to keep his job because anything less was unacceptable at a program like Houston. “We did get rid of a coach that won eight games three years ago,” Fertitta said. “Don’t ever forget that.” True to his word, Houston fired Applewhite after going 7-5 and 8-5 in his two seasons so that Fertitta could make Dana Holgorsen the highest-paid coach in the Group of Five conferences at $4 million a year. What does an uber-booster with an uncontrollable ego and unrealistic expectations think he's getting for that kind of contract? Surely something better than losses to Tulane.

Houston has nowhere to go. Holgorsen can still work out at Houston but this isn’t Levine or Applewhite. He has to work out at Houston because they have no move to make except to let Holgorsen work out. No one is coming to hire him away and you can’t pull the plug on him after two or three years.

As for Tillman Fertitta I’d love to laugh and I guess I will at some time but this is fascinating situation. If he has any humility he can still be a great asset for UH but if he can’t be told unwelcome news he could be the ruin of UH football in the near future.

Pretty much sums up the situation when any big-money booster gets too involved with his school, doesn't it?

56-16 in the 4th. Either Auburn is finally starting to get things clicking offensively, MSU's defense is atrocious, or... wait for it... we have a pretty good defense.

Man Auburn's offense must've been out of sync on an epic level when we played them...

Houston got the win too, 46-25. Turns out they were down a couple offensive linemen out hurt besides the mid season red shirts.
