Memphis #2

Post by Roller »

After a ½-hour rain delay, we're getting ready to begin (Graf: "outfield looks a little soggy.")

Let's play some ball and salvage some pride.

Spoon in lineup. Why didn't he pinch hit for Hoese with bases loaded, two out and trailing by a run in the 8th yesterday?

Two tigers get on base, via E4 and HBP, but a 6-4-3 ends the B1 with no damage.

1-0 going to T2

2nd and 3rd nobody out and Wilsey Ks. Just one sac fly or simply putting the ball in play when they are giving you a run this year would name me happy.

Sal Gozzo Ks. Will need a 2 out hit.

We return the favor, with a pair of tiger Ks, stranding a man at third.

1-0, going to T3

2-1 top 6. Win or lose it sure is nice to see Chase pitch well. He will likely be the 4the starter in the tournament.

NJw - liked your comment back to tjtlja where you were looking for a couple of pitchers. Metro Houston has a bunch. Be nice to open up a pipeline there once again.

Brown doubles and comes around to score on a Hope single.

3-1 Wave.

Sal G singles scores Hope - 4-1 Wave.

Paul G doubles home Sal - 5-1 Wave.

Twins grew up in Memphis - many family and friends there.

We go to the bottom of the 6th.

We go to the top of the 7th - 5-1 Wave.

Chase has given up 1 run on 3 hits and most importantly no walks through 6. This is the guy from earlier in the year.

Memphis taking a page from our pen. 2 wild pitches and a walk. They are loaded with 1 out.

New pitcher with similar ugly season stats as the last guy. Time to bust this open.

6-1 after Hope walks.

Sal Gozzo doubles in 3. 9-1.

Memphis ended their scoring drought in the 5th. Since then, the Wave has gone on a tear, now leading 9-1. Think Memphis is wondering if they made a mistake scoring that run and picking at our wounds?
