Thanks for starting it; I was waiting for someone other than I to start it, since my lack of success in previous games made me a bit hesitant.

Heart skipped a few beats when Banks came down hard on his throwing hand.

I can't discern whether the helmet decals are slightly smaller or just placed a little farther back on the helmets, but I like it better this way.

We could use a turnover about now.

But first, we need to learn to tackle.

Only way we get our defense off the field lately is to give up the score.

Now an inadvertent whistle

TD HILLIARD!

Nope holding penalty (mickey mouse) so it's 1st & 15 at the 30.
And Banks sacked for -8 yds.
Bradwell gains a few as the quarter ends.

:xmad:
It's pretty clear how much the officials can change the complexion of the game. Wonder if they are doing it on purpose/under orders?

There was a hold but it didn't effect the play on the ball. The kinda call that is made when the refs are looking to call as much as they can on one side. I saw similar holds on USF's drive they didn't call.

I replayed it several times, but couldn't see it. Either it was off screen or it was the official's imagination.

Why doesn't our OL get coached to jump when the defense comes off sides?

Finally, they called a penalty on USF (we refused). But they deliberated for a while about whether they really wanted to call it.

As an official, I agree. I don’t call things away from the play that do not affect the play’s outcome, unless it’s a safety issue.
