Re: Baseball -- UNO -- Gm#1
right down the middle
Re: Baseball -- UNO -- Gm#1
He did end up with 8 K's. The early lack of control was disappointing and costly but he did settle in as you said. He struck out the guy who hit the grand slam the next time he faced him.Roller wrote:Bates has settled down after the first two innings.Yankeewave wrote:we need some pitching
Hitting back-to-back batters and giving up two homers in two innings is not a good plan. But he's got something like 8 Ks, mostly in the latest innings. And his ball still looks good, so hopefully he can go another inning, despite having thrown 70+ pitches.

Re: Baseball -- UNO -- Gm#1
then another K
can't make contact with a man on 3rd and 1 out.
i've been telling myself it was the tough schedule early on, but maybe we just aren't very good.

Nice pick by Jensen to close out the inning with no damage.

UNO's pitcher looks like he's 50 years old.

Spoon's big dinger makes it 7-5 in Tulane's favor!
Re: Baseball -- UNO -- Gm#1
How fitting - he hit it off the Ye Olde College Inn sign
Re: Baseball -- UNO -- Gm#1
He really laid a great swing on that one. Ronnie Rantz showed his LSU ignorance by saying if it wasn't for the wind it wouldn't have gotten out. Now let's make it stand up.
