Impossible, ball would be on the goal line for that.

1st and goal on the 1 against a top national O line. What are the odds here?

This was ours to win. All we had to do was reach up and take it. I'm sure things will look different in a few days, but this feels an awful lot like last year all over again.

Just an absolutely classic #tulane finish. You think I'd be used to it by now, but no, never gets any easier.

And that’s that. The Wave beat the Wave.

Good thing finishing wasn’t a theme of fall camp or anything.

Typo. I changed it to 20 (ball on the 3, kicked from the 10).

First half three punts inside 40. We lose because of that. Really disappointing with how conservative we were.

Couldn’t finish again. SMU loss was painful. This one is just as painful. Second straight loss on the final play of the game.

Yardage 548-436 Wake. We rushed for 153, they got 170.

The disappointing thing is not sustaining drives. Both TDs came on big plays.

Firtz is supposedly a "moneyball" kind of guy. But I can't imagine that math favors punting from the 38 yard line with a minute left. If we're not going to kick a field goal, we'd still be better off going for it. Giving them the ball on their own 20 vs. their own 38 just doesn't mean much with a minute left. Add in that their kicker is a freshman and had already missed from short range and it just doesn't make sense.

100% agree. Far too much punting overall. Half expected a punt on 4th down in OT
