It was surprising to look at pictures and see they don't even have the second worst facility in the conference

Good for them, I guess
They have/had money from Marge Schott (former owner of the Reds). They did a HUGE upgrade to facilities in the early 2000s which was part of their move to the Big East, and then upgraded and kept up while enjoying said BCS cash. Their facilities are nice all around (and that which you could call "equally nice to Tulane", theirs is simply larger). They have kept up the spending in their constant efforts to attract a P5 bid; they did a massive update to the football stadium club/suites/pressbox a couple of years ago (about equal in "niceness" to the Glazer Club but much larger), and just opened the completely renovated basketball arena this past season (you may recall they played at Northern Kentucky University for an entire season prior).
