I respect your football background, but they didn't wake up. They started to hold our Dline because they knew the officials wouldn't call it and it gave Buechele the adequate amount of time to complete those short passes. Yes, I saw holding on almost every play.
What a crock of s*h*i*t. That is a loser's excuse. We played like crud, we did not deserve to win.

You're entitled to your opinion.

I hope our special teams coach watched the Saints-Falcon game Thursday. Best onside kick team in the history of football.

I saw a professional team demonstrate how to execute a successful onsides kick recently.

Successful onsides kick nullified by a totally bogus offsides call.

SMU still has not been penalized.

Like somebody said at the outset. The conference has told the officials that another 10-win team is needed.

The conference should be embarrassed. Even the ESPN guys are calling them out.

Really unimaginable how an official can blow that simple call.

Our D coaches had SMU figured out. A GD shame that we couldn’t take advantage.

Fully agree with this. Our turnovers and unsuccessful fourth down tries gave them how many points?

Agreed, especially when you are trained to MAKE SURE there is a penalty before you call it. Double replay it in your mind. then make the call. Pathetic call.

When Atlanta was called offsides on their first attempt on Thursday, the color guy said that the kicking team players are not allowed to take a step before the ball is kicked; it's not about "crossing the line," but rather it's about keeping your feet planted, even if your body is moving.
Does anyone know if that's what the rule says? If so, we were offsides, but I don't think that's really the rule.

I will wager heavy on whoever plays SMU in their Bowl Game.

With a couple of weeks, they will have this team figured out. They are not one of the best 10 win football teams.

So we were 5-1, and now face the situation that we could end up with a losing record. How do you recruit good players, when that is the typical season for Tulane.

With the exception of Memphis this has been the story all season. Our Offense was laiden with Seniors, unlike the Defense, and we are mediocre and can't pass when the game is on the line. The AAC is an offense heavy conference and we are playing like were're in the big 10.

At the end of last year we all realized a change on the offensive side of the ball was needed. With more people back on offense we are just slightly better this year.

It beats the 3-9 and 4-8 years of Scelfo/Toledo/Curtis Johnson.

Hard for me to see how 6-6 and a bowl game is a typical season for Tulane.

Offense wins championship. Hard to lose when you score 35 per game.
