I don’t know if this has been mentioned, but, while I appreciate that we get the games on ESPN+, why can’t we get instant replays? Is it the need of additional equipment or just operators learning on the fly?

Part of the ESPN deal involved our building out production facilities on campus. That would have happened but COVID delayed it. They don't yet have the capacity for more replays because of this delay.

Except the opposite is true. Officials don't want to be shown to be wrong, so there is more pressure on them to get the call right when the threat of replay exists.

As I recall, they did review the ULL hit batter. They just didn’t overturn the original call.

I like replay for the most part. It has its drawbacks but I’d rather get the obvious calls correct.
