If we can't get 6 outs with the pen it's going to be a long series and season. I get your point though and it worked out. Olthoff is a beast

Would love a couple more insurance runs here.

We go to the 9th.
Yep it worked out this time. Surely we can get 3 outs with the pen.

I understand yours as well. Having him full strength for conference play means a lot more.

on 2nd view, I’m not sure the righty was Gilles. Campbell was the lefty. believe the righty was Bates? didn’t get a clear view

New pitcher in. Played two seasons at Memphis so we should be familiar with him

Gillies was definitely warming up early.

According to the pbp man, it was "Ethan Grofe" struck out.

Olthoff back out for the 8th. surprised the pbp guy didn't call him "Olthofe").
You can listen to AA you know? Much more enjoyable listening to the hometown guy
Yeah, I know, but since I joined in late, I'm too lazy to spend time syncing the audio and video.

Agree. I know we had a back and forth after 76 pitches first start but if we don't have confidence in our pen aleady it doesn't say much.

Having said that, 87 pitches and two down in the 8th.
Averaging 11 pitches per inning ever since I got here. I don't see any signs of tiring. I love a pitcher who can give you a CG when necessary. Whatever Latham/Jewett/Olthoff decide is appropriate is just fine with me.

I'll be very surprised if Olthoff is not icing down now but what do I know?
