I guess AA and I have different definitions for what constitutes a "foul tip." To me, it's always been a swing that just grazes the ball. If the ball goes back over the catcher and umpire to the net, that's always been just a straight foul ball in my mind (as in "fouled back to the net").

In baseball, a foul tip is defined as "a batted ball that goes sharp directly from the bat to the catcher's hands and is legally caught

A lot of AA’s calls differ from what I would call them.Roller wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 7:32 pm I guess AA and I have different definitions for what constitutes a "foul tip." Barrett Jackson is on the air, and it was more exciting...
Thankfully, the grand slam helped. if we get to their pen, it should go well.

Nice to keep Olthoff with a reasonably low pitch count in his final spring training start

HA! I nearly posted that we needed a DP. Glad I held back, or he'd have probably hit a homerun. My new policy is going to be "DON'T ask and ye shall receive."

In your defense these games all last over 4 hours now. It's like watching the Titanic which somehow seems appropriate given the start to this season.
