I know not directed at me specifically, but I didn't. Honestly, even if we lose out I'm all for keeping TJ if only to keep Lee around
The ECU announcers praised TJ highly.
I think he knows how to get us to the top.

Why does Hart always seem to be at bat in these situations?

Leave them loaded.

Who do we have that could have pinch-hit? I know Groff can cover CF.

Gerry, I know I wouldn’t go that far. But you are so right, Lee is unreal. Hitting .460+ with a 100+ at bats. You can bet your a** that other schools will find a way to contact him when the season ends.

Good thing his best friend signed to play with us next year.

Rolling the dice and still not using the key guys. I probably would have gone to Campbell. He seems like he could pitch in multiple games.

We must hold them here.

Knueppel on to pitch. Definitely not unloading the bullpen on them.

Yea, if you think TJ is the man for the job, keep him but I wouldn’t keep a coach just to hold on to 1 player. Probably not worth discussion as TJ will be back next year regardless IMO.

Not sure why we’re going to bullpen guys that we never use, it’s only a 3 run game

Lee goes out to the mound, running like an old man... worrisome.

Seems like we are playing to save arms to try and win 2 of the next 3. I don't get it. I wouldn't use Gillies down 3, but I certainly would use Bates and Campbell.

Gillies mentioned something in his interview on Allegretta's pod about having a list of bullpen guys that would likely get used each game. Wonder if that plays into this at all. Plan is Olthoff + Gillies if close and Olthoff + less used guys if we fell behind their ace. The other usual guys are being held for the other games when we might need them? Seems like an odd way to go about a game we are still in.

I thought McDonald did what we expect of a reliever.

Yes, but still an odd choice. We should have started Aldrich of Benoit if this was going to be the approach.

Seems to me, we were "swinging for the fences" with our best starter. When the mood fell to bordering-on-hopeless, TJ decided to not burn his best remaining assets.

And, it's raining.

Must hold them. Bates looked like a DB who can't catch on that bunt attempt.
