Johnson in for Devito.
First pitch is an rbi double
Tying run in scoring position with 1 out.

Tulane 8, Cincy 6

And now, we're behind as Johnson gives up a 3-run homer. :evil2:

Random comment, but how common is the turf mound.

I’m so sick of roles. Game in the line and we go to Trent Johnson. I know it was the 7th but I go to Gillies. Huge game and now he might not pitch.

And we are back to giving up outs via the bunt.

If not Gillies it should have been Slagel

Why would you bunt there? We are going to be eliminated from at large contention without using our best pitcher.

Not saying this out of frustration but honestly... With a pitching staff this shaky do we really deserve to be in the tourney?

No. We've been lucky to walk the tight rope so far and pitching has been a strength for chunks of the season, but I think we've learned too heavily on too few arms

We need a strikeout. Would you please bring in Gillies.

Down 2. Glad our closer is fresh when the game is now lost.

I am beating a dead horse but how do you lose with your 3rd and 4th options out of the pen?

Nice throw there. Must keep the lead at 2.

We don’t. Worst coach ever.

Because our pitching is still not very good. We’ve had guys pitch good games from time to time, but we knew from the beginning of the season they would be a liability.
