Cincy game 4

Post by NJwave »

We run ourselves out of an inning in the top of the first.

Error on Burns on a play Burchfield has to come up with. 1-0.

Top 2, 1-0.

I assume Lee won’t play in conference tournament

1-2-3. Bottom 2.

Hoffman hitting 95 on the gun. 2 on and 2 out bottom 2.

Hoffman leaves them loaded. Up near 50 pitches after 2.

Still 1-0.

Probably don’t want Hoffman to throw 100 pitches as to we will need him next week. Hard to believe Gillies hasn’t pitched all weekend. Now I guess you save him.

Stephens thrown out stealing. 1-0 bottom 3.

Nothing going our way all weekend.

4-0 after bases loaded double.

Over 60 pitches. This has another run rule game written all over it.

Probably for the best. Get rested and save pitchers for the regular-regular season

Hoffman gets a K to end it. Ironically he looks better than Benoit and Olthoff so far.

All 4 starters threw a ton of pitches. I guess with Hoffman he won’t pitch again unless we should play

Sure would love to know why Bates left and if Lee has any chance to play in tournament. So much for having beat reporter that actually reports.

As far as I know he hasn’t even mentioned that Bates is not on the roster.

Bottom 4, 4-0. Our line up just not the same without threat of Lee.

Be careful. He puffed his chest out acting tough when I posted about his reporting a while back. (His tone changed once I messaged him and asked if he was looking for me).

4-2 after Chase with a bullet up the middle. Luis hits one hard but right at the center fielder.

Think what a miserable record we'd have if we played Cincy and ecu home and away. Seven, eight losses?

Hoffman at 90 pitches on a hot day.

Here comes Robert Price.

A sweep this weekend was what we needed. Who would've thought the pendulum would swing all the way in the other direction.

5-2. Throw out a runner at third to prevent a big inning.

What a play by their first baseman to rob Hastings of extra bases.

Runners on the corners nobody out. Cincy hits on 3 of 4 at bats vs Price.

Followed by another hit. 6-4.

Devito on.

Another hit. 7-4 runners on the corners.

Two more stolen bases. 8-4.

Guerry, just now on twitter

And then another single. Make that eight of the last nine batters reaching base against three #Tulane pitches. It has been an epic late-season collapse on the mound.

Ask him what happened to David Bates and Bennett Lee status.

Another hit. We can’t get anybody out. Runners on the corner again.

Cambell on. Devito didn’t retire a batter.

Doesn’t fare better. 10-4 after double.

Finally an out. Mcdonald on. Balks in a runner before first pitch thrown.
