Game 12 of AAC Tourney vs USF

Post by wave-em in »

Hoffman puts the Bulls down in order at the top of the 1st.

A one out walk to Laprairie in the bottom of the 1st is stranded. To the 2nd we go, 0-0.

USF loads the bases with nobody out. A lead off double and 2 walks.

Hoffman gets a much needed 1st out SO.

Bases loaded no outs, strike out next two, and groove a fastball. No command of the strike zone.

2-0 Bulls. He threw almost 40 pitches in that half inning.

I know we're short on starting pitching, but we might have to turn this into the bullpen game just to get into the next one.

We also need some runs, like now. We can't afford to play this one from behind. Need to scratch one across somehow here.

Guys being behind 2-0 at this point is like trailing 7-0 late in 1st q of a football game.

Our lineup stinks without Lee. This one will be over very soon.

It's not like that at all. We will be lucky to score 3 runs the entire game.

I hate to say allowing those 2 runs in the 2nd was ballgame, but it very much felt like ballgame/season.

I can stomach being behind, but I can't stomach defeatism.

Like I said Thursday, the first team to score has won most, if not all, games this tournament.
