ECU and UCF will start at 5:22 eastern.

Looks like it will be a lateeee night on the east coast for our boys.

I always wonder if the time between games helps from a rest standpoint or if we’d be better off bringing the momentum into the next one 45 minutes later.

Burns is probably fuming inside. When you are seeing the ball like he is, a pop up is last thing on your mind. Great game nevertheless and he really carried us in this game.

How do you get ready to play a 2nd game so late in the evening?
The only thing even in this world is the number of hours in a day.
The difference between winning or losing is what you do with those hours.

After USF catcher’s jawing after the first game I hope we run rule them again tonight!

No, you want to keep playing. But if is hot, they will be glad to wait.

I attribute the turn-around in the 4th inning, trailing 5-2, to good coaching. Prove me wrong.

Not sure if anyone mentioned but Burns’s 7 RBIs is an AAC tourney record!

I wouldn't go there, Roller. Nothing good will come of it.

I go to both Benoit & Johnson and ask them what they have left. For Johnson, it could be his last game. Watch their bullpen and make a call. If neither can go, I start McDonald. And my game plan is simple. Throw strikes. Meaning throw fast balls. USF is not a good team offensively. Don’t get cute like they did with Hoffman and throw sliders away. Challenge their hitters and shut the door.

I'm out of vodka and spoiling for a fight
I'm by no means a Jewett fan, but he's our coach, and I'm very proud of the way MY team has held on. There's a lot of "psychological" going on, and we're coming out on top of it.
I'm looking forward to booking a last-minute flight to Omaha.

Roller, he is not a good coach. But he did do something today that I have never seen him do in 5 long azz years. He pulled a pitcher after two at-bats. He actually had someone warming up in anticipation. Kudos for using your pitching staff and trusting the next guy.

Sure didn't. The other team had the better and wiser coach. Good luck to him in the post season.
