Safe to say Gillies isn’t too bad the 2nd time through tonight
He definitely should have started. He’s made me a Keagan Gillies fan and really shown how clueless TJ is at game management. His first season I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he was left a bare cupboard, but in year five, we shouldn’t be this bad. A 2 or 3 run game right now would've given us a chance.

Offense hasn’t helped.

The offense is doing their best to make the pitching decisions irrelevant

2 on nobody out. Maybe we can get a big inning. Who/how is USF’s closer?

Maybe we can hit the new guy

Their closer is the guy who gave up the HR to make it 7-5 in the early game. He’s got impressive numbers

So if we haven’t mailed it in, we may just have a (slight) chance. So to speak

Great effort by Gillies. Making Jewett look really dumb.

Thomas on for the 9th. 7-1.

It’s as if he wasn’t coaching for his job.

Since this is the last year of his contract, there would be no buyout.

Good thing we saved Thomas most of the year. Wouldn’t have wanted to use a kid with this kind of talent.

Nice gesture getting Price in. I’ll give him that.

I don’t understand taking him out now. We have potentially good arms with the right direction.

Wants to give the senior a chance to pick in the tournament.

I was thinking the same thing. Basically saying he doesn’t think we can score 6 this inning.

How TJ wasted Keagan is malpractice. Just a terrible coach from the 1st year where he wasted an experienced team to now where he hasn’t had a clue about his pitching staff. Keagan struck out 11 tonight. If TD keeps him, we will know what he really thinks of Tulane baseball.

Or he just hasn’t paid attention to baseball this year, especially if the second place finish in a down year is justifiable for keeping him.

Gillies should have started this game. You hand him the ball letting him think he's just going 2-3 innings as an opener to take the pressure off of him, and then you let him go until he hits trouble.

Another disappointing season comes to an end. Totally mismanaged game. A classless group of players on the USF team wave goodbye to our bench.

Are we officially allowed to talk about the head coaching position now that the season is over? How do the board rules work?

One person said it and now others are running with it. No one knows. It would be extremely rare for him to not have more time left on his contract for recruiting purposes.
We deserve so much better
