Re: JAZZFEST 1ST WEEKEND
Feel free to introduce yourself. I'll probably be one of the few 6'10" guys there. You'll see me at some point. :)TPSTulane wrote:I'll be there on Saturday....
True story: Jazzfest 1994, Jimmy Buffett, Saturday afternoon, Acura Stage*, 94,000 people there that day (probably 40-50K at that stage), I got there early and got a spot near the front, in the packed-in sea of people... no less than 5 friends who arrived later that day found me in the crowd, apparently quite easily. I guess I'm good for something.
*Whatever that largest stage used to be called, I know it wasn't Acura then, but the name is escaping me right now.... Ray-Ban?
Re: JAZZFEST 1ST WEEKEND
Yes, it was the Rayban stage. The smaller stage at the other end was the WVUE stage, if my otherwise feeble mind is not leaving me.PeteRasche wrote:Feel free to introduce yourself. What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about?

Shrinking, Pete? Didn't your playing days roster have you as 6-11" or was that Perry's embellishment?PeteRasche wrote:TPSTulane wrote: I'll probably be one of the few 6'10" guys there. You'll see me at some point. :)
