I think the first album I actually asked for and received was "Freeze-frame". I was 10. I had other albums and singles before that (songs I liked and my mom liked, so I'd get the single because she didn't mind hearing it), but that was the first album I specifically asked for because I liked multiple singles. And "Centerfold" was one of the first music videos I ever saw, on a show called "Video jukebox" on HBO, before our cable system even got MTV. It's currently my 5 year old son's favorite song (he having no idea what it's about, of course).

I wonder how many people thought Peter Wolf was J. Geils, since he was the lead singer?

He grew up in my little home town outside of Boston.... Our only claim to fame.
