I. Hate. Standard. Time.

No no I wouldn’t. I’m truly not being hyperbolic to say it would be the final straw that broke the back for my wife and I’s decision making, and we’d finally move to Spain.

Changing times is far preferable to standard time year round

Who cares about light in morning? Are cultural activites, family activities, liesure activities, anything scheduled around morning hours? Rarely. That's usually for work (in which case who cares about light) or sleep (in which case light is a bad thing)

TUPF wrote:I think it’s situational for what stage of life you are in.

Carefree pre-kids stage loving daylight after work = DST

Kids at bus stops stage = Standard Time

Retired sleep late, drive late = DST

Thus, there will never be a solution which pleases everyone all the time. It will stay the way it is such that someone is always complaining.

It's winter. People do shiat indoors at night from november thru March. Not everyone lives in a new orleans climate.

Can we all stop and acknowledge that Prof said changing to Standard Time would cause him to move to Spain and no one (specifically Windy) has commented on that?

I’m shocked. I fully anticipated that would be the focus when I wrote it.

big hug windy, we’ve grown together :)

I mean, frankly I was gonna give you some serious grief, but through a massive dose of self-control, I held back. 8)

Let’s just say it’s a 49/51 discussion already for a myriad of other reasons, and evening walks are a daily family activity (and the only exercise I get anymore with my commute), so light in evening a big part of our life.

I have no animosity towards him, why would I want him to move to Spain now [redacted] or [redacted] I'd pay for a packing service to speed things up

Fun fact: 24 hours from now, (your clock will say) it’ll be 25 hours from now.
