Caribbean water coldest since 1982

Hopefully this means no storms this coming summer and fall. Of course, the last paragraph makes a frightening point.

I figured something was amiss. Here on the Maryland Atlantic Ocean shore, sea temps are about 3-5 degrees under where they typically are by now even without big storms which sometimes bring upwelling cold ocean water to the surface.
Fan since 1974 living in Phelps seeing the upper bowl of Tulane Stadium

Less this year in the Gulf, but not exactly a quiet season overall
