The only place I still see those is at the movie theatres, along with sno-caps and Good and Plenty.
Also good (as are necco wafers). But CVS carries them around here.

If you like esoteric, try a Cracker Barrel--they even have Violets (those life saver-like square candies without a hole, which I used to get because I was the only one who liked them).

Make aviation mixed drink (cork sucker is banned) then .

He remembers when the first ship with cacao beans arrived from the New World.

Interestingly, two weeks ago, I met a woman in Winston-Salem who is 103 and very much compos mentis. She has a PhD in Chemistry, and is still able to discuss it.

But that's the the really interesting part. She was desperately seeking information on Mexico Beach, in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael, because that is where her 106-year-old brother lived (turns out he had evacuated inland to his 80-year-old daughter's house, and although his house was destroyed, he was safe).

Years ago my folks managed an apartment building with a 98 YO gentleman who insisted on living alone there after his wife passed. My mother used to drop by every day just to see if he needed anything. He apparently had a relationship with his children which he summed up by saying “damn kids hit 70 and they think they know everything.”

I have settled for Reece’s. My father introduced me to frozen Heath bars; truly a treat!!!!!

A bag of small Heath bars purchased at target is in my freezer at home

Any candy in the freezer is a win!!!! If they could somehow make a Nutella Bar......
