Giving false info to "U.S. News & World Report" for their annual college guide. Say it ain't so!

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/unive ... li=BBnb7Kz

Quote:
The false data affected Oklahoma's placement in the national universities, best value schools, top public schools, best colleges for veterans and A-plus schools for B students rankings and lists, U.S. News said.

OU stands for “OU(ted)”.

GW did something like that with the law schools, as I recall. they were taking a bunch of part time students into their night law school and then after a year they'd transfer in, but were not reporting their stats. off the top of my head, I know Illinois got into some kind of trouble. Pretty sure its like recruiting, everyone cheats and its only a problem if you get caught.

by the way, every person on this forum should donate at least $1 every year to Tulane because it impacts USNWR rankings ( I am sure since we are all here, many of us already donate). it is shocking how cheap alumni are, few of my friends will donate even that small amount when i ask them to do it.

Agree. During my 40 year reunion last fall it was surprising, and not in a good way, that so few of us had contributed something, anything, every year since graduation. They had a list posted in our class tent on Newcomb Quad and the number of my classmates who had done this was about 50. Out of say, 1500.

Athletic succeess leads to donations. Loyola chicagos donations skyrocketed after NCAA run.

Still, $1 is easy!
