The Saharan dust cloud
Yeah, I've read it's not uncommon during Hurricane season, but one this big hasn't happened in a long time. Seriously,.... How F'ED UP is 2020???
Get your cameras though, they say the sunrises and sunsets are stunningly beautiful.
Bonus: hot dry desert air prevents tropical weather formations. So, ya know, no hurricanes for a few weeks.

Well, there’s already massive locust swarms in Africa so next up is toxic red tides and heat waves.

I think after the locusts come the frogs, right?

Have you met 2020?? There may still be time for a storm to form in the gulf before the dust gets here.PeteRasche wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 9:10 pm Yeah, I've read it's not uncommon during Hurricane season, but one this big hasn't happened in a long time. Seriously,.... How F'ED UP is 2020???

Or, you know, we somehow get a hurricane of dust and everything gets sandblasted. And New Orleans manages to flood during that too.

At this stage, it could be part of a mass mummy attack and I wouldn't be surprised....

Did the dustcloud end up actually making it to North America? I don't remember reading about it in the US news (not that I was reading that much US news). I remember the buildup that it was "going to come", but then silence.

Re: The Saharan dust cloud
I think murder hornets nested in the main N95 mask warehouse in an undisclosed location but were smothered by Sahara dust cloud which killed all the murder hornets but destroyed 100M masks thus proving that both good and bad can come from the same event.
The answer is blowing in the wind (after the original reports the dustcloud either dissipated or was sheared by the Atlantic hurricane season or we just lost interest).
